Back from Cambridge (and Pickled!)

Cambridge studies bloom,

Pickled girl gets a polish too,

Sequel waits in jar

Howzit, everyone?

Can you believe it’s been that long since my last post? Since diving headfirst into my studies at Cambridge (October 2023), I’ve also been busy revisiting my debut novel, ‘Girl in the Pickle Jar’. Oh, please stop with the fanfare. Okay, if you insist.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m working with a fantastic editor from the University of Cambridge to polish the manuscript. It’s important to me to keep my voice and story as a self-published author, so this editor will focus on minor edits and proofreading.

Once the re-edited ‘Girl in the Pickle Jar’ is out, you won’t have to wait long for the sequel. ‘Girl in the Pickle Jar II’ is already in the works, and I’m bubbling with excitement as I complete the final draft.

In the meantime, check out this sneak peek – a partial cover reveal for the re-edited first book.

I can’t wait to share both the improved ‘Girl in the Pickle Jar’ and its exciting sequel with you all.

All comments are welcome.

Motherhood wasn’t a universal yearning, and some who craved it also knew it wasn’t their journey. Girl, this was your choice, a brutal test of your emotional intelligence. But were you rushing? Maybe there was another way. Adoption?

The test’s stark blue line taunted me with the truth. Each minute stretched into an eternity, the weight of the unwanted life growing heavier. Denial wouldn’t help. There was only one way forward, an action that both terrified and empowered me.” —Girl in the Pickle Jar II
